Yayasan Sion Salatiga is a non-profit organization whose main mission is to help and empower the poor and oppressed so that they can have a better life, both in terms of education, health, economy, and social issues around them.

Starting in 1970, the Sion Foundation began its community service work in the village of Ngaduman and its surroundings, on the slopes of Mount Merbabu. The ministry of Sion Salatiga Foundation was based on the educational, economic, health and environmental issues that still surround the life of the community there. Sion Salatiga Foundation's initial ministry in Ngaduman village focused on water channel construction, sewing training, toddler health checks and food education for toddlers, and in the economic field we also assisted the community in the form of a cow “gadoh” program. After the service was running wonderfully, on November 10, 1977, Sion Foundation was officially incorporated under the auspices of GKJTU. Until now, its services are assisted in 4 divisions: Community Empowerment, Self-Sufficiency, Education, and Church and Community Mobilization. The moral values of Love, Trust, Respect, Integrity and Mutual Compassion are always reflected in all our services.

Yayasan Sion Salatiga comes with a commitment to make a positive contribution to the community, through various programs that focus on education, empowerment, and social services.
